Senior Civil/Mechanical Engineer (Pipeline)

Job Description:

The candidate will be required to manage pipeline projects that meet and exceed our client’s expectations.  This requires a high level of knowledge and experience working with pipeline design codes and safety requirements including ASME B31.4 & B31.8 as well as 49 CFR Parts 192 & 195. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate and coordinate project scope with clients and local municipalities. They must participate in project scoping, cost estimates, and provide review and guidance for design plans, material selection, constructability, and calculations.  This individual must provide subject matter expertise and technical development to staff and associated team members. Above all, the candidate must demonstrate 100% personal commitment to quality to ensure employee and public safety.

Qualifications:

 Experience

  • Senior-level; 15-20 years of experience
  • Professional Engineering license

 Education

  • B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum, Metallurgical or equivalent Engineering from a US based ABET accredited institution

Skills

  • Leadership skills needed to supervise and provide technical expertise to internal junior and mid-level gas/pipeline engineers
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making
  • Proficient with computers in an engineering environment including MS Office products
  • Must be a good communicator (oral and written) and possess strong human relation skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be familiar with the production of design and construction documents including alignment sheets, P&ID drawings and specifications.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet aggressive project deadlines
  • Achievement-motivated to work with Milhouse to set and surpass realistic goals
