Construction Superintendent:

Looking for an individual to lead field operations for multiple construction crews on infrastructure projects based in the Washington DC area. The work includes concrete foundations, walls, and slabs, along with selective concrete demolition. Must have experience with formwork, rebar installation, and concrete finishing, as well as setting anchor bolts and base plates for subsequent structural steel operations by others. Work also includes setting precast deck sections.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to speak Spanish would be a plus.
  • 8 to 12 years of experience as a concrete or carpenter superintendent, for infrastructure type projects.
  • Understand the importance complying safety and quality requirements associated with this type of work. OSHA 30 hr training is preferred. Safety is essential for our operations as well as for adjacent facility operations, and the public using those facilities.
  • Must be able to read drawings and specifications to plan out work for 2 to 3 crews at multiple locations in the area. Must be able to confirm that work is correctly laid out.
  • Experience in working on WMATA/Metro projects is a plus, particularly if individual already possesses a WMATA badge.
  • Looking for an individual with the leadership qualities to maintain efficient operations, work safely, and insure that work is installed correctly to avoid rework.
