Under general supervision, the recruiter must have the ability to screen and source qualified candidates while possessing the confidence to communicate effectively with hiring managers and senior executives.

Job Description:


  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs.


  • Builds applicant sources by posting job advertisements, researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, external recruiters, employee referrals.  Attend networking events including career expos/job fairs.  Source resumes and track candidate activity using internal database/ATS system.   


  • Determines applicant qualifications and suitability by screening resumes and interviewing applicants; analyzing responses, comparing qualifications to job requirements.


  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.


  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; conducting training.


  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.


  • Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.


  • Other duties as assigned.




  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recruiting experience preferred.


  • 20% travel required including travel to career fairs, network functions, assist with an in-person interviews in another location, etc. on an as needed basis.


  • Ability to source resumes using Boolean search techniques on social media/career job sites e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed, etc. preferred.


  • Three-ten (3-10) years recruiting experience in a fast pace environment preferred.


  • Technical, Engineering and/or Construction recruiting experience preferred.


  • Experience working with ATS systems (Applicant Tracking Systems) preferred.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
