Senior Scheduler

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Scheduler will provide project scheduling expertise to utility owners and operators.  The Scheduler will identify project schedule trends and performs analysis to develop reasonable and accurate forecasts.  The scheduler will also suggest corrective actions to mitigate schedule impacts if and when needed.  Additionally, the Scheduler will evaluate project specific schedule and Program schedule risk, as well as provide schedule related progress and risk information to the program reporting team to articulate items for regular and ad-hoc reporting to utility senior management.

 

Qualifications:

The qualified candidate will have at least 10 years of experience with 2-3 years of direct utility related scheduling experience  andother related experience in planning and scheduling for other large corporations. At minimum, an Associates Degress from a Junior College with training certifications specific to scheduling is required or  engineering or construction management degree is preferred.

The candidate should be broadly knowledgeable in utility industry practices, and project scheduling during all phases within a program..  Candidate should be knowledgeable about utility organization, operations, terminology and practices to facilitate the efficient transfer of information.  A thorough understanding of Project and Program Management principles and experience in developing, reviewing, evaluating, and articulating project environmental, preliminary engineering, final design and construction phase schedules to clients and the general public.  Candidate should be able to develop all levels of schedule control including detailed CPM networks, its critical path, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, milestones constraints and resources in addition to the evaluation of schedule risks and evaluate schedules using Earned Value principles.  Qualified candidate must have experience working on 100+million dollar programs.  Candidate should have thorough working knowledge of scheduling software – P3, P6 suite, MS Project, etc.  Also an understanding of graphic and CADD based programs for schedule depictions not supported by current CPM software tools.  As well as working knowledge of Risk management software applications and P3 a plus.  Candidate must have the ability to identify, analyze and solve schedule problems and relate these issues to the project team.  Additionally, candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, multitask with accuracy, meet deadlines as required, and work with minimal supervision, able to set and manage priorities and have people skills.
