Civil Engineering Technician - Agreements

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting the Program and Office Engineer in reviewing and processing of jurisdictional transfers, state and local agency agreements for Federal projects which have been sponsored by local agencies. Among the duties of the position are: 

  • Coordinate all activities leading to the execution of state-local agreements and engineering agreements.
  • Communicate with Central Local Roads, local agencies, and their engineer during document submittal, and approval.
  • Review and approve local agency Qualification Based Selection procedures.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10-15 years of relevant experience
  • Planning experience in correlation with IDOT.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and agreements with local agencies.
  • Engineer preferred, but not required.
