Position Overview: 

This position is responsible for assisting the Program and Office engineer in the reviewing and processing of the state letting PS&E for Federal projects which have been sponsored by local agencies. Among the duties of the position are:

  • Coordinate all activities leading to the construction letting such as inter-bereau review and approvals.
  • Communicate with local agencies and their engineer during document submittal and approval.
  • Communicate with Right of Way coordinator, utility coordinator, and IDOT central office during the preparation and approval of the bid documents.


  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois
  • Minimum of 12 - 15 years of relevant experience
  • Experience reviewing plan sets and working with local agencies and partners.
